Our Corporate Experiences
1. What types of corporate team-building experiences do you offer?
Hedges & Hurdles offers a wide selection of sustainable, nature-based corporate activities across Surrey and the Surrey Hills.
Our experiences include willow weaving, willow sculptures, green woodworking, heritage crafts, bushcraft, woodland challenges, active outdoor pursuits and wellbeing activities such as forest bathing, mindfulness, yoga, Qigong and sound baths.
Activities can be booked individually or combined into a bespoke programme tailored to your organisation’s objectives, interests and group size.
2. Can you organise a bespoke corporate away day?
Absolutely. We specialise in designing and coordinating bespoke corporate away days, team-building events, wellbeing retreats and client hospitality experiences.
We’ll work with you to understand your objectives, preferred activities, group size, budget and location before creating a tailored proposal.
From selecting activities and coordinating our specialist Suppliers to planning the day’s timetable and arranging catering, we aim to make the experience enjoyable and straightforward from start to finish.
3. What group sizes can you accommodate?
We typically cater for corporate groups of 12 to 200 participants, depending on the activities selected, venue capacity and event format.
Smaller groups are ideal for intimate workshops and leadership retreats, while larger groups can enjoy a combination of activities organised into smaller, rotating sessions.
We’ll recommend a suitable format based on your group size, objectives and available time.
4. Can we combine several activities during our corporate event?
Yes. Combining activities is one of the most popular ways to create a varied and engaging corporate experience.
For example, your group might enjoy willow weaving, bushcraft and a nature-based wellbeing activity, with participants moving between smaller group sessions throughout the day.
We can coordinate the timetable, activity rotations and specialist Suppliers to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience.

5. What are the benefits of nature-based corporate team building?
Nature-based experiences offer an opportunity for colleagues to step away from their usual working environment, reconnect with one another and enjoy shared experiences.
Creative workshops encourage collaboration and learning, active challenges support teamwork and problem-solving, while wellbeing activities provide opportunities for relaxation and reflection.
Our experiences are designed to encourage connection, creativity, engagement and a greater appreciation of the natural environment.
6. Where do you hold your corporate experiences?
Our experiences take place at a selection of beautiful venues across Surrey and the Surrey Hills.
These include Birtley Woodland Art Space near Guildford, Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking, RHS Garden Wisley, Buckland Park Lake near Reigate, and our other hotel, vineyard and countryside venue partners.
We can also deliver selected experiences at your own offices, conference venue or another suitable location.
We’ll help you identify the best setting for your chosen activities and group size. Venue hire arrangements vary, with some venues handling their own bookings directly.
7. Can we organise a half-day, full-day or multi-day corporate event?
Yes. Our experiences are flexible and can be arranged as individual sessions, half-day programmes, full-day corporate away days or multi-day retreats.
A half-day event might include one or two activities, while a full-day programme offers opportunities to combine creative, active and wellbeing experiences with refreshments and a shared lunch.
Multi-day programmes can also be developed in collaboration with suitable venue partners.
8. Do you run corporate experiences throughout the year?
Yes. We offer corporate experiences throughout the year, with seasonal activities that reflect the changing natural environment.
Spring and summer are particularly suited to outdoor activities, while autumn and winter offer opportunities for heritage crafts, woodland experiences and festive workshops.
Many of our creative and wellbeing activities can also take place indoors, subject to suitable facilities and venue availability.
9. What happens if the weather is unsuitable?
We plan our outdoor experiences with the British weather in mind.
Where appropriate, we can arrange covered or indoor spaces, recommend alternative activities or adjust the programme to suit the conditions.
If severe weather creates a safety concern, we’ll discuss the available options with you in accordance with our booking Terms & Conditions.
Your group’s safety and enjoyment are always important considerations when planning an event.
10. Can you arrange catering for our corporate away day?
Yes. We work with catering partners and venues to offer a variety of options to complement your corporate experience.
Depending on the location and event format, these may include picnic lunches, seasonal buffets, afternoon teas, BBQs, bowl food, canapés and other refreshments.
We’ll discuss your catering preferences, dietary requirements and budget when preparing your bespoke proposal.
11. Are your corporate activities inclusive and accessible?
We aim to make our corporate experiences welcoming and inclusive, offering activities suited to different interests, abilities and levels of physical activity.
Many creative workshops and wellbeing sessions can be adapted, including seated participation where appropriate.
We’ll discuss accessibility requirements during the planning process and work with you and our Suppliers to identify suitable activities, reasonable adjustments and venues. Accessibility varies between locations, particularly in natural woodland environments.
12. How do you collect dietary requirements, allergies and accessibility information?
Once your event is confirmed, we’ll provide access to our online participant registration system.
Participants can register individually, or the event organiser can register attendees on their behalf. The registration process allows us to collect relevant dietary requirements, allergies, accessibility needs and other information necessary to help plan a safe and inclusive experience.
Relevant information is shared with authorised event personnel and Suppliers where necessary for event delivery, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our corporate experiences are individually priced according to your requirements.
The cost depends on factors including group size, selected activities, duration, venue, number of specialist Suppliers, materials, and catering arrangements.
We can develop a programme to suit your objectives and budget, providing a detailed proposal with an event schedule and clearly identified costs.
