We’re Honoured to Receive the Surrey Hills Trademark Gold Award
We’re absolutely over the moon to share some exciting news — Hedges & Hurdles has been awarded the 2025 Surrey Hills Trademark Gold Award!
This recognition means the world to us. It was presented at the beautiful De Vere Horsley Towers during the annual Surrey Hills Enterprises Gala Dinner on 2nd July, and we’re still smiling from ear to ear.
We’ve been proud members of Surrey Hills Enterprises for over 10 years, and this award feels like a true celebration of the work we’ve poured our hearts into. From our willow weaving workshops and countryside crafts to Paul’s hedge laying work, demonstrations, and community engagement, everything we do is rooted in a love for the land, tradition, and people around us.
This award also shines a light on the joy we find in collaboration — something that’s really close to our hearts. One example of this is our upcoming Sculpture & Soul Festival (26th–27th July), which brings together fellow SHE members for a weekend full of creativity, connection, and wellbeing in the heart of the Surrey Hills.
We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to Maggie Howell and the team at Surrey Hills Enterprises, and to everyone who has supported us on this journey — whether you’ve joined us at a workshop, or collaborated on an event, or simply cheered us on from the sidelines.
This award is not just for us, it’s for all of you who continue to help us grow, create, and keep countryside traditions alive.
