Mini Wattle Hurdle Workshop

Would you like to learn a heritage skill? Join our Mini-Wattle Hurdle Workshop and learn the weaving technique used to create hurdles of all sizes!

Location

The workshop takes place at Priory Farm, South Nutfield, situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty!

When the weather is dry we will run the workshops from the enclosed garden next to the discovery walk entrance at Priory Farm. If the weather changes we have an under cover barn area that we can move to.

We also have a beautiful lakeside option within a secluded spot, ideal for larger groups.

Suitability

The workshop is suitable for adults and teenagers. All materials and tools to make your hurdle will be provided and you will get to take your finished work home.

What should I wear?

We recommend you wear comfortable, outdoor clothing and footwear. You may also wish to bring a pair of gloves, to protect your hands and your own secateurs if you have them. However, don’t worry we will have some spare gloves and secateurs for you to use on the day if you don’t have your own.

Time

We will run either a Saturday morning or afternoon workshop commencing 27th April 2019 (these times alternate with our Obelisk Making Workshops held on the same day):

> Morning workshop: 9.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.

> Afternoon Workshop: 1.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.

We will start off with a brief introduction and an overview of what to expect from the workshop.

Cost

Adults: £50.00 per person.

Gift vouchers can also be purchased from our website.
