Join Lorraine and Paul for our Mini-Wattle Hurdle Workshop and learn the traditional weaving technique used to create hurdles of all sizes! We will be using Willow or Hazel we coppice in Surrey to make our hurdles. We will have two sizes of jigs, 4ft and 6ft in length. We will be making hurdles suitable for use as border edging.
Full-day workshop: – 10:30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. (includes a break for lunch)
The workshop is suitable for adults and teenagers. All materials and tools to make your hurdle will be provided and you will get to take your finished work home.
We recommend you wear comfortable, outdoor clothing and footwear. You may also wish to bring a pair of gloves, to protect your hands and your own secateurs if you have them. However, don’t worry we will have some spare gloves and secateurs for you to use on the day if you don’t have your own.
If you prefer to work from a tabletop this is possible when using the 4ft jig.
Hedges & Hurdles reserves the right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control without being obliged to refund monies.
If the course is cancelled by the organiser for any reason we will contact you as soon as possible and will always endeavour to reschedule your booking for another date, however, if this is not possible a full refund will be provided.
Our full terms and conditions including our cancellation policy are available to view and agree when making a booking.
